Baked Bean Balls
These Baked Bean Balls are easy to make and use everyday ingredients. Baked Beans are very inexpensive and are almost always in households, so this should be an easy one to try.
INGREDIENTS
2 can Baked Beans
1 ½ tablespoons Green Seasoning
¾ cup Panko Bread Crumbs
½ cup Whole Wheat Flour
¼ teaspoon Salt
1 Onion
For Dip/Sauce
¾ cup Mayonnaise
Roast Garlic paste (use 4 garlic cloves)
½ cup Baked Bean sauce
¼ teaspoon Pepper
¼ teaspoon Paprika
½ teaspoon Lime Juice
DIRECTIONS:
- Drain all the sauce from the baked beans and reserve for later use
- Mash the beans until smooth (leaving a few pieces of beans for texture)
- Add all other ingredients and form a soft dough
- Refrigerate for 10 minutes. This allows the dough to get firmer
- Pre-heat oven to 200○C
- Portion dough into pieces and form balls (recipe can make 15 balls, but we will make 12 and use the remaining dough to make a bean patty/fritter for a sandwich)
- Bake balls and patty for 30 minutes at 200○C. Flip after 15 minutes
For Dip/Sauce
In a bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well. Refrigerate. Once Baked Bean Balls are ready, serve as dipping sauce.
