Green Banana Porridge
Green Banana Porridge made quick and easy. Combine this porridge with Peanut Porridge to make Banana Peanut Porridge.
Ingredients
- 2 – Green bananas, peeled
- 1 cup – Water
- 1/4 cup – Oats
- 2 cups – Coconut milk
- 2 tsp – Cinnamon powder (1 cinnamon stick or leaf)
- 1 tsp – Mixed spice (or nutmeg)
- 1 tbsp – Vanilla
- 3 tbsp – Sugar
Directions
- Wash, peel and cut bananas
- In a blender, combine 1 cup water, oats and bananas and blend until smooth
- Bring 2 cups coconut milk to a boil
- Pour blended mixture into coconut milk and stir to avoid lumps
- Cook on medium heat for 10 minutes and stir occasionally to prevent burning and lumps
- Lower heat and add remaining ingredients. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Remove the porridge from heat and serve.
Serves 2.
Notes:
- Cows milk or condensed milk can be used. If using condensed milk, please reduce sugar portion.
- If you do not have oats, you can use corn starch
