Green Banana Porridge

Green Banana Porridge made quick and easy. Combine this porridge with Peanut Porridge to make Banana Peanut Porridge.

Ingredients

  • 2 – Green bananas, peeled
  • 1 cup – Water
  • 1/4 cup – Oats
  • 2 cups – Coconut milk
  • 2 tsp – Cinnamon powder (1 cinnamon stick or leaf)
  • 1 tsp – Mixed spice (or nutmeg)
  • 1 tbsp – Vanilla
  • 3 tbsp – Sugar

Ingredients for a quick green banana porridge

Directions

  • Wash, peel and cut bananas
  • In a blender, combine 1 cup water, oats and bananas and blend until smooth
  • Bring 2 cups coconut milk to a boil
  • Pour blended mixture into coconut milk and stir to avoid lumps
  • Cook on medium heat for 10 minutes and stir occasionally to prevent burning and lumps
  • Lower heat and add remaining ingredients. Cook for 5 minutes.
  • Remove the porridge from heat and serve.

Serves 2.

Notes:

  • Cows milk or condensed milk can be used. If using condensed milk, please reduce sugar portion.
  • If you do not have oats, you can use corn starch
